Hello May

Hello and welcome back! Who is just as excited that it's a new month and a fresh start?! I hate to say it, but April was not exactly the best month. There were highs and lows, but it felt like one of those months where each week was a mountain I could barely conquer. I'm thankful to turn a new leaf, welcome some warmer weather, and have a positive month!

Fashion Favorites

I really pushed myself to wear more color in April and I think it's because I was longing for sunshine and warmth! Here's what I wore the most:Jeggings with a short, regular, and long cut that fit PERFECT and are less than $30My favorite wedgesEasy dresses to throw on and go like THIS and THIS

Beauty

I (continued) to rave about skincare this month and also tried a handful of new products. Overall, I found some great new finds! Here's what I loved the most:The best overnight mask I've ever triedA new set of makeup brushes that won't break the bankA new shampoo and conditioner that smell heavenly and are full of natural ingredients

Dwelling

We've really been using our wedding gifts this month. Would you all want to see a registry post in the future? Here's what we loved in April:These fun dishtowels that brighten up our whole kitchenThese plug-ins that instantly make your home smell sooo goodThis handy little steamer that works fast and is easy to travel with

Food

Can this be my favorite category? We made an effort to eat out less this month. Here's what we ate a ton of:Everything but the bagel seasoning - perfect for avocado toast!Dave's Killer Bread - perfect for avocado toast. We've tried them all!And...avocados. Do we sense a theme here?

More

Here are some other fun things I loved in April:I'm still listening to The Greatest Showman soundtrack every day in my carI can't stop watching Real Housewives of New York. I only like the seasons with Bethenny! We loved taking Tilley to the park and spending more time outsideI always love reading Krista's blog. I've been a reader/follower for YEARS. If you want to see life in NYC, fun Amazon finds, and just real life you need to check her out.

Goals for May

1. Prioritize time for myself

2. Publish a new blog post (hopefully 2!) every week of the month

3. Continue to grow The Velvet Dwelling and connect with more of you!

What did y'all do this month? What goals do you have for May?!

xoxo
