Summer Beauty Refresh

Hey friends! How's everyone doing?! Finally getting around to a new blog post. If you like to stay more up to date - I've been really good about staying active on Instagram, so make sure you're following along there. Since it's been a hot minute since we last talked, and because one of the most asked questions I get normally has to do with beauty, I thought it'd be time for a beauty refresh post and talk about some products I'm loving for this hot, humid weather.

I don't know about y'all and where you live, but the weather did a 180 and went from kind of cold to HOT overnight. I'm talking in the 90's every single day. There is no relief! With that said, when the weather kicks into overdrive, I tend to adjust my beauty products to help keep my skin and hair in check. You'll notice that the 5 products I am about to talk about are more "natural." I'm trying to cut harmful ingredients from my beauty routines (slowly, but surely) and I have noticed a difference! These are products you can feel good about using, too!

Drunk Elephant Face Oil

This item is the priciest on the list, but I will continue to purchase this over and over and over. Unlike other face oils I've tried, this sinks into the skin quickly, doesn't feel greasy, and creates a soft blanket on your skin. This is good for all skin types, but it does wonders for my dry skin in this heat.

Ouai Wave Spray

I have scary memories of how I use to deal with my curly hair in middle and high school. I never knew how to manage it or keep it healthy. I would load it up with gel or mousse and it would be crunchy and GROSS. As I learned more how to deal with my hair, and actually take care of it, I found creams to be more appropriate for my curls. Then...I found this gem of a product. This wave spray is magic in a bottle - it keeps my curls shiny, healthy, in tact, and still natural looking. If you have naturally wavy/curly hair, you need to try this product!

Kopari Coconut Lip Gloss

I don't know about y'all, but I've tried a good handful of lip products through the years; especially ones that claim to "moisturize." We've all heard about the addictive chemicals in many consumer products like chapstick and carmex that keep us using them over and over. But, is there ever any difference? I don't think so. This is the first product that truly makes my lips soft, moisturized, and doesn't make me feel like I have to apply it every hour. I highly recommend!

Tarte Amazonian Clay tinted Moisturizer

You've heard me preach about my dry skin over and over, and once the weather changed to nothing but heat, I was immediately on the hunt for a tinted moisturizer that had coverage, but felt light. I am in love with this product for the summer - it provides a wonderful amount of coverage, feels like a thin layer of moisturizer, and stays in place all day. This is finding a permanent spot in my makeup bag!

Love Beauty and Planet Coconut Shampoo

This is the product I've been using the longest and I will continue to keep repurchasing! Best part? It's under $7! I also use the conditioner. Removing all of the chemicals from my shampoo/conditioner has made a huge difference in the texture of my hair. Another plus? This smells like straight coconuts and is the perfect summery scent.

Let me know what summer beauty products y'all are loving right now! Have you tried any of these before?!

Talk soon!
